Excellent Networks wanted to streamline invoicing

Excellent Networks used to send invoices through ConnectWise and collected most payments from customers via check — which sometimes got lost in the mail. For customers who paid via credit card, Excellent Networks manually processed those cards through QuickBooks — which charged a fee.

For Excellent Networks’ lean team, that was a lot of time and money spent on manual tasks that could be automated. So, Mark Luna, President at Excellent Networks, sought to streamline his company’s invoicing and eliminate this manual multi-tasking. He started researching what other MSPs were using as payment portals and found FlexPoint.

Onboarding FlexPoint was straightforward: It only took Mark a few clicks to set up his account, log in, and sync all of Excellent Networks’ invoices to the platform. From there, the platform streamlined and automated payment processing — with a single click. Here’s how it works:

Mark approves invoices in QuickBooks, which then sync to FlexPoint.
FlexPoint reminds clients to send payments — for current and overdue invoices.
FlexPoint deposits payments into Excellent Networks’ QuickBooks online.
FlexPoint auto-reconciles all transactions.

Because FlexPoint’s portal allows clients to check their invoices and pay bills online at will, Mark no longer has to send individual invoices. He’s also free from the end-of-year rush of invoice requests from accountants.

Excellent Networks gets paid faster and has largely eliminated credit card fees because clients actually prefer to use FlexPoint’s ACH and AutoPay options.

The biggest change with FlexPoint is getting payments a lot faster. I used to have to pay a lot of credit card fees, but the vast majority of our clients now pay with ACH and AutoPay through the portal. It’s just so much easier.”
